Dream of Dhaka..Anonymous couples hide publicly in the Dhanmondi Lake...Dhaka, the fastest growing megacity in the world, is flooded by between 4 to 500.000 new people every year. A growth double its entire population of the 1947 census when India was partitioned. The people currently residing in Dhaka is sharing each square kilometer with an average of approximately 20.000 other people. According to local estimates more than 15.000.000 people inhabits the giant metropolis, dubbed by the World Bank as the fastest growing megacity in the world. The exponential growth is progressing towards an expected 25 million people by 2025. The Dreamers of Dhaka more often than not end up as squatters large slums under conditions less than favorable with the unfortunate third; the city-dwellers destitute of rights and land. Solitude, silence and personal space are luxury commodities for the few who can afford to reflect and act upon it in this ever growing society...Photo by: Eivind H. Natvig/MOMENT
